LISA ANNE MCPHADEN 1973 - 2016 On the morning of April 13, 2016, Lisa McPhaden left this world after a brave but brief struggle with cancer. Lisa is survived by mother Carol McPhaden (Roger Kingsley), brother Mike McPhaden (Christine Horne) and nephew Jack, special friend John Hamel (Ruel), aunt Barbara Bater (Brian), uncle Allan McPhaden (Audrey), four cousins and their families, and many friends and colleagues. She also leaves her father Brian Rose, half-siblings Jake Mooney and Caitlin Rose, and stepfather John Toner. After graduating from Vincent Massey Collegiate, Lisa worked for a number of years as a nanny; she had fond memories of the many young children for whom she was a caregiver. Eventually, Lisa went to bartenders' school. She then spent many years working at the Marlborough Hotel, first as a bartender and then as manager of the Regal Beagle Pub. She eventually became night manager and, most recently, the assistant general manager of the hotel. Lisa asks her friends and family to remember her at a Wake and Memorial Service which will be held in Marlborough Hall on the eighth floor of the Marlborough Hotel from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. The family wishes to express its very great thanks to the medical staff at St. Boniface Hospital, especially on medical ward E6 and in ICU.
