TODD JAMES BRUCE January 8, 1965 - April 20, 2016 It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Todd James Bruce, our son, brother and uncle. Todd passed away peacefully in Burlington, Ontario on April 20, 2016 due to complications suffered from a battle with pneumonia. Todd is survived by his devoted parents, Donald and Lynne Bruce of Winnipeg, brother Mark (Joanne) of Lorette, sister Michelle Hlatky (David) of Regina, nephews Patrick Bruce (Brittany) of Anola and Dustin Bruce of Winnipeg, and nieces Bobbie Bruce of Lorette, and Kayla and Christina Hlatky of Regina. Todd is also survived by his partner Gord Higgerson, Gord's children, Jenny (Mark) and Kyle, and Gord's grandchildren, Zachary, Mason and Sadie all of Burlington, Ontario. Todd's creativity, incredible sense of humour, deep appreciation of nature, and his love of books and reading, were some of the many gifts that he shared with family and friends through his life journey. While his journey has now taken him from family and friends, he has a left a legacy of love and laughter that will allow all of us to cherish his memory and forever keep him close to our hearts. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place in Winnipeg in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba in his name would be greatly appreciated.

  • My deepest sympathies to Todd's family. Todd and I were born just days apart and somehow that seemed to connect us. I remember laughing with him as far back as kindergarten and as recently as a few months ago when I read his post on Facebook. Our lives have always been intermingled and I am grateful to have so many fond memories. - Posted by: Karin Freiling (Friend) on: Apr 23, 2016
