Born on April 11, 1924 near Plum Coulee, Manitoba, she was the eldest of nine children born to Jacob and Ida Penner. She is survived by four children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday April 25, 2016 at New Life Baptist Church in Stonewall, MB.

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish all the love and warmth to Helen's family and loved ones. Although we don't see each other often, we are family and that means so much to me. My mom Susie loved her sister Helen. Now they are together...and Aunt Alma too. I can picture them now...sitting on the grass dressing up their frogs in doll's clothes. I am sorry about your loss. May God keep you and watch over you. Susie, my deceased wife, was very fond of her older sister. She always held her in high esteem. I was honored to be asked to officiate at her first husband's funeral. I have many memories of times together enjoying conversation over a cup of coffee.
