NORMA ANN TOPHAM (nee STEWART) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother on April 15, 2016 at the age of 86. Norma passed away peacefully at the home of her brother Allan in their hometown of Gladstone. Norma was predeceased by her parents Elwood and Bertha Stewart, Ron Topham, brother Marland Stewart and sisters-in-law Patricia Stewart, Isobel Frantz and Ruth Stewart. She leaves to mourn her children, Barry (Diane), Bev (Greg), Terry (Donna) and twins Kim and Ken. Grandchildren, Trichia (Stephen), Jamie (Thi-Lin), Chad, John, Jenny (Jonathan), Sean (Sarah), Steven and Stewart. Great- grandchildren, Rhyan, Owen, Quinn and Emma. Her siblings Edna, Raymond, Stan (Elsie), Allan (Liz), Harvey and Vivian. Also left to mourn Bev Knight (Greg), Glenda Horn, Vern Frantz, Jean Stewart and many nieces and nephews. Norma was born and raised in Gladstone, MB. She raised her five children while living in Winnipeg and spent her working years at the St. Regis Hotel, Fort Garry Hotel and retired from Winnipeg Transit in 1993. She spent her retirement years enjoying family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and got a thrill watching them participate in their many sporting events. She loved reading the newspaper and kept everyone up on current affairs, nature shows, piano and spending time in summer at Grand Beach. It will be difficult not to have Mom to enjoy old memories, new events and have her listen and not judge. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date in Gladstone. A private family service will be held to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
