MARY ELIZABETH MURPHY (née BEAL) Mary Elizabeth Murphy (née Beal) was born November 7, 1921 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Grace Helena Barnes and James Roscoe Beal. She was the second-youngest of six children (James, Helen, George, Margaret and Albert). Mary, independent to the last, died suddenly at her home in Ottawa, on April 7, 2016 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband, Major (Retired) Daniel George Murphy; infant son Daniel; and her siblings. She is survived by her children, Mary Roscoe (William Robertson), Major (Retired) James Timothy (Lynne) and Thomas Andrew (Esther); her grandchildren, Karen, Elizabeth, Lisa, Deborah, Daniel, Hannah, Grace, Luke and Josiah; her 11 great- grandchildren; and numerous loving nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbours. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at Epiphany Anglican Church, 1200 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa on Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences / Tributes / Donations Hulse, Playfair & McGarry www.hpmcgarry.ca 613-748-1200
