Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAY KUZ (nee TKACH) April 29, 1927 - April 19, 2016 It is with deep sadness we announce Mom's passing at Betel Home, Gimli, MB, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Mom leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Linda Lavallee and Christine Lewick (Jim); son Gary Kuz (Betty); six grandchildren Barry (Billie), Kevin (Shelley), Mandy, Wendy, Jordan and Justin (Brandi); seven great-grandchildren Kyle, Jesse, Joey, Matt, Kailyn, Nevaeh and Charlee; sister-in-law Ann Kuz, as well as many nieces and nephews that loved their Aunty Kay. She was predeceased by her husband John; parents Michael and Domka Tkach; sisters Ann Shymkiw and Olga Malski, as well as son-in-law Paul. Mom worked on the farm for many years and eventually at Duha Plastics and Graphic Tech. Mom was a very active member along with Dad at the Fraserwood Hall. She enjoyed participating in the preparing for the annual fall supper in Fraserwood and took much pride in the construction of the new hall and loved her Friday night bingo. She also looked forward to the casino bus trips. Mom moved from the farm to Gimli in 1998 and enjoyed her retirement. She was a very good cook (loved her perogies and cabbage rolls). She loved feeding and visiting with family and friends. There was never a shortage of food when you were at Mom's. A very big thank you to Mom's friends that visited and cared for her. We would like to thank Dr. Rhoma, Dr. Chapnick and the wonderful staff at Gimli Hospital and Betel Nursing Home for the care you gave our mom. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
