ELAINE P. CHAPMAN On April 25, 2016 after a lengthy illness, Elaine P. Chapman of Winnipeg, passed from this world at the age of 78. She leaves behind to remember her, son Mark, granddaughter Sarah (her mother Eileen), sister Norma (Ron), nieces Debbie (late Michael), Vicki (Jim), Cheryl, Rhonda, Karen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great nephews, Trevor, Michael, Kurtis and Mathew, and grand-dog Kyger. She was predeceased by her mother Jean and father David, as well as sisters Charlotte and Joyce, brother Bob and nephew Bradford (Franca and her mother Lucy). Mom retired from a long career in the Public Service, twenty three years ago. She had a great love for animals and was a proud supporter of the Winnipeg Humane Society, Darcy's ARC as well as numerous other animal shelters and causes. She endured many hardships and challenges throughout her life, beginning with the loss of her own mother at the age of two. She had compassion for the less fortunate and loved to help others. Cremation has taken place. According to her wishes, a service will not be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, CancerCare or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the care and support team of the Grace Hospital.
