ESTELITA ADRIANO SPEIDEL
Date of Passing: Apr 22, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTELITA ADRIANO SPEIDEL It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Estelita (Lita) Speidel, age 77, greatly beloved wife and soulmate of Dave, on April 22, 2016. Happily married for 46 years, she was his little star and her passing leaves a very deep void. Remaining to cherish her memory are their sons Kenneth David and James Paul (Sanne), grandchildren, Saskia and Jenna, three sisters in the Philippines, sister-in-law Heidi (George), and an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins in Winnipeg. Immigrating to Canada in 1965, Lita worked as a RN for the Birch River Hospital in Manitoba before accepting employment at St. Boniface Hospital where she continued her career as a RN until her retirement in 1997. Lita had a deep personal faith in the Lord and was most known for her volunteer work at Calvary Temple as a Wee College teacher for 10 years, as well as serving with Alpha and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. She had a great love for all people, but particularly for the children with whom she always had a special rapport. A public viewing will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., on Wednesday, April 27 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. on Friday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m., with luncheon served downstairs, followed by interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. A special thank you to the first responders and emergency staff at Concordia Hospital who worked so hard to resuscitate her. If people so desire, flowers are accepted or donations in Lita's memory may be made to Calvary Temple or the charity of one's choice.
