MARIA ALESHKA May 27, 1924 - April 27, 2016 On April 27, 2016 Maria Aleshka passed away peacefully. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her son Alex and daughter-in-law Irene of Winnipeg; grandchildren Carmyn Aleshka and husband Greg Fettes, Adam Aleshka and wife Vanessa Aleshka and great-grandchildren Madden and Miller. Maria was born May 27, 1924 in Poland. In 1948 after the war, she travelled with her husband Peter making Winnipeg their home. She was a hard worker and devoted wife. She was kind and caring, a special person that treasured the time that was spent with her grandchildren and all of the family pets. She will be remembered and greatly missed by everyone that knew her. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and compassion that they gave during this difficult time and especially to her personal care givers Lois and Cheryl. We will miss you greatly Mom and know you are at peace. A family gathering for family and friends will be held at 550 Park Boulevard W. at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016.
