HUGUETTE SIMONE ALLEN (nee VALLEE) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Huguette Simone Allen. She died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Huguette was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She leaves to mourn her brother Armand (Anita); her grandchildren, Brett and Darcy and her nieces and nephews, Paul (Lissette), Marc (Sarah), Carole (Joel). She is predeceased by her beloved son Michael; her mother Gisèle; her father Charles and her sister-in-law Hélène. Huguette was born on June 30, 1935 in Spiritwood Saskatchewan and she grew up in St. Boniface where she attended St. Joseph Academy. She worked at MTS as a switchboard operator and quickly rose in the ranks to become a floor supervisor. When Michael was born, she focused on being the best mom she could be and providing him with a loving home to grow up in. Huguette (aka Tootsie) was a caring, loving person who had a deep appreciation for everything life had to offer. She loved to dance and spend time with her family and friends. She could light up a room, and always entertained the crowd with her famous jokes and her quick wit. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. A special thanks to all her close friends at Crystallite apartments, who helped her maintain her independence over the last few years. Thank you to the staff of the Seven Oaks ICU for the care and comfort they provided our dear Huguette during her last days. A celebration of Huguette's life will be held on Saturday, May 7 at the West Kildonan Legion, Branch 30 (Darlington Lounge), 1748 Main Street at 1:00 p.m.
