JANINE (BEAUCHAMP) COLLIGNON September 15, 1951 - April 30, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janine Collignon, a beloved wife, a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Janine Marie Collignon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Janine was born September 15, 1951, in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, to John (deceased) and Antoinette Beauchamp. Janine was the oldest of 10 children. As a young woman, Janine moved to Winnipeg. Soon after, she married and gave birth to a beautiful daughter Tammy (Leflour) Vermette. In 1996, Tammy married her university sweetheart, Paul Vermette. The pair made Janine a proud grandma of two grandsons: Blake Vermette (14) and Thomas Vermette (13). In 1996, Janine met Gary Collignon, who would soon be her loving husband. Through this loving union, Janine added to her family, two amazing daughters, Tracie and Jaimie. Tracie Collignon is now engaged to longtime love Darren Watson. Jaimie Collignon married Jean Grenier in 2011, and blessed Janine with her third grandson, Xavier Grenier (2). Janine truly lived life to the fullest through the enjoyment of simple pleasures, chats with friends, family game night, sewing parties, spa dates and spending time playing with her grandsons. Janine will be remembered fondly for her zest for life, strength and courage, endless energy and her open-hearted unconditional love. Janine's peaceful and dignified passing was a testament to both her inner and outer beauty. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Palliative, who took such wonderful care of Janine and her family during her last few weeks. For those wishing to take part in Janine's Celebration of Life, the service is to be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to CancerCare to help those going through a journey similar to Janine's. I will always remember Janine for her infectious smile, even in her last few days in palliative care. She was a very positive person more concerned about others than of herself. - Posted by: Betty Vermette (Paul's mom) on: May 06, 2016

I met Janine 10 years ago, through work. And though we haven't worked together for many years, our friendship continued for the last eight years. If Janine considered you as a friend, she gave you her whole heart and would be there to listen, talk, share laughs. Janine was an incredibly warm, kind and loyal friend who was deeply dedicated to her family, and so proud of her daughters and grandsons. Gary and Janine both share an amazing love, rooted in loving kindness, true caring and respect for one another. Gary and family, we are so sorry for your loss! Thinking of you during this terrible time. - Posted by: Lilian Choi (Friend and Former Coworker ) on: May 05, 2016

I worked with Janine and Norwex. She was so passionate about Norwex and was an amazing seller at tradeshows. She just loved it! I am so sorry for your loss Gary, Tammy and family. I wanted to come today, but needed to be with family at the hospital for a surgery. Janine LOVED her grandchildren. I could see that. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: julie vermette (friend/coworker) on: May 05, 2016

I was Janine's hairstylist, which meant I had the good fortune of sharing her company every 6 weeks for years and years. She was so much fun, very talented, and never slowed down. She was loving, and fiercely devoted to those she loved. Blake and Thomas, I don't know you but I could pick you out of a crowd from all the pictures she shared with me, and I know you are amazing young men because of all the stories she shared with me...your Gramma loved you so very much. Tammy, you are your mom's greatest gift to this world and she will live on through you. Gary, i am so sorry for your loss, there are no words. I was privileged to know Janine and you were all blessed to have loved her. - Posted by: Carol MacFarlane (I was her hairstylist) on: May 04, 2016
