LARRY STECIUK December 11, 1949 - May 3, 2016 Larry passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. He is survived by Renata, his children K.C., Mark, and Suzy (Tom), grandson Luke, his parents Peter and Carol, siblings Gloria, Deanne (John), Mike (Brenda), and many nieces and nephews. Born in Gimli, Manitoba, a forever North End boy, Larry was a graduate of Sisler High School and the University of Manitoba Faculty of Commerce. As the eldest child Larry was a natural leader, strong and assertive but always with the biggest heart. This characteristic set the tone throughout his life as a coach, mentor, and father. A lifelong entrepreneur, he sought out and took on a diverse array of successful business ventures. With Renata he built a loving family life, providing a safe and supportive environment allowing his children to thrive, explore, while always knowing someone had their back. Larry was a man who loved his life, and those of us lucky enough to have known him, will love him for the rest of ours. In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare, Larry's favourite charity would be greatly appreciated. A private family gathering will be held.

More than a cousin. A boyhood playmate at the farm, a great lunch companion when in the Peg, and a true family man. Will miss you. - Posted by: Bob Marylin Brent and Chad English (Cousin) on: May 09, 2016

I was shocked and deeply saddened to read of Larry's sudden death. I fondly remember Lawrence (as we knew him in high school) as one of the "guys who leaned on the lockers", smiling and watching the parade of girls in the hallway before class. I was fortunate enough to see him in summer of 2014 when I returned to Winnipeg for a visit and attended a class reunion. He hadn't changed one bit...it was as if all the years that had sailed by were mere moments in time. Still the same affable, smiling character he had been all those years ago. When we spoke, he told me of his plans to hike the West Coast Trail with Bob & Jerry. They were training for that trip...one of the things that was on his bucket list and I am delighted that he got to check that one off. To Mr. & Mrs. Steciuk, Renata and family my most sincere condolences. May your many wonderful memories of Larry help to sustain you at this most difficult time. - Posted by: Val Bishop (former classmate) on: May 07, 2016
