GERRY TREPANIER February 24, 1958 - March 21, 2016 With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gerry. He is dearly missed by Gail, his wife of 32 years; their children Maxine and Jaymie, sisters-in-law Carol and Lynn (Gary), Gerry's own sisters Michelle, Monique (Hugh) and Laurence, as well as nieces and nephews, other family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gilles and Gilles's wife Judy, Michelle's husband Bob, Lynn's husband Bobby, and only one month earlier to the day, beloved mother-in-law Joyce(eeee) Gerry was so proud to be an employee of Winnipeg Transit since 1994. He was a humorous, brave, strong-willed man who was also a self taught musician that loved to play his guitar and sing to all. We will always have fond memories of a few family vacations at "The Narrows" where Gerry loved to go fishing, staying on the water till he had to come in!!! Gerry was grateful to his kidney donor, who gave him a new lease on life in 2013. In Gerry's memory please consider signing your donor card and a donation to the Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Association or CNIB. "Now I'm sure I've found my babe and by my side she plans to stay, no one can make me feel this way, forever in love" I love you Gerry, xo

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So many of us will miss Gerry and his kidding around, always making us laugh. Even though he had many hardships in life, when he had his guitar and Gail(eeee) by his side, clearly he was at his best. It was always a treat having him play and sing … something he loved doing so much. You were a trooper Gerry. We all loved you and will keep you in our hearts. - Lynn Wilson (sister-in-law) from Victoria - Posted by: Lynn Wilson (sister-in-law) on: May 07, 2016

  • I first met Jerry around the time of his social prior to marrying Gail. My wife (Susan) and I attended the social and I was fortunate enough to see Gail's video of the occasion recently. Over the years, as a close friends of Bob and Lynn (Gail's sister) we ran into Gail and Gerry periodically. The Christmas before last (2014) I spent time with Gail, Gerry, Maxine, Jaymie, Joyce, Carol and Lynn in Victoria. We had a wonderful time together and I played guitar and sang along with Gerry. He was a talented musician and singer! My heartfelt condolences go out to all of Gerry's family, friends and associates in this time of sadness. - Posted by: Gary Card (Friend) on: May 07, 2016
