CAROLYN ANNE RUTHERFORD Carolyn Anne Rutherford (nee Iwaniuk) died at Oakview Personal Care Home after a lengthy illness Friday, May 6, 2016. Carolyn is survived by son Dwight, son Dwayne (Heather Reichert), and grandchildren Meaghan (fiancee Michael De Luca) and Kelsey. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband Murray (2014), parents Mike (1972) and Mary (1984), sister Carrie (circa 1920), and brothers Julian (1965) and Bill (1975). Carolyn was born in Boulton Municipality (near Russell) January 14, 1930. She attended Balfour School and completed high school at what is now Major Pratt Collegiate in Russell. After moving to Winnipeg, Carolyn, would work for Galperin Candy and later The Winnipeg Tribune. Carolyn and Murray were married July 28, 1951. After leaving the workforce, Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The devastating effects of dementia, led her to entering Oakview in 2009, where she resided until her death. Funeral Service will be held at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street, Winnipeg, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., with interment in the family plot at Stonewall Cemetery. A time of viewing, with prayers, will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kirkfield Park United Church 472 Kirkfield Street, Winnipeg, MB R3K 1E6.
