Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • During the 1958 – 1959 school year, I was a student at the Kenora Keewatin District High School (KKDHS). I was assigned to Grade 9B. It was my privilege to sit immediately behind Dianna during our homeroom and French classes. She was a very intense and dedicated student who was ranked number one academically in our class all year long. As I look back I have to say that she was an intelligent introvert. Nevertheless, we did talk a fair amount. I remember on one occasion my French exam was overmarked and that I shared that information with her. She was very disappointed in me that I did not inform the teacher. I left Kenora after Grade Nine and did not see her again until I ran into her at Great West Life during the Christmas Season of 1964. I am glad that she lived to meet her grandchildren. She deserved a happy life. - Posted by: Jim Ferguson (Former fellow student in Kenora) on: Jun 01, 2020
