EDWARD MICHAEL CROPO It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest Ed, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the age of 68. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years Patricia, sister Janice and brother Tom, as well as Carol, Reid, Dorothy, Sandy, Faith, Elaine, Frank, Wally and many others. He was predeceased by his father Joe, mother Brenda, brothers Tony and Peter, and father-in-law Bill. For 47 years he worked for Volkswagen, the last 25 at St. James VW. He retired as a technician in 2008 and started a new job delivering - a job he would not give up! Our heartfelt thanks to his work family who have been a great source of strength and support to us. Ed loved his quiet life of family, dogs, Winnipeg Beach, movies, general puttering and of course, Tim Horton's where he routinely ordered something they don't serve just to get a smile. That was what Ed was all about creating a smile or laugh. He was one of a kind and his passing has created a big hole in our world. Family and friends are invited to share memories with us at a celebration of his life at St. James Volkswagen, 670 Century St., Winnipeg, on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg would be appreciated. You will live in our hearts forever.

Every time we hear a stupid joke We think of how you would laugh at it. Janice has now joined you. We miss you Ed and always will. - Posted by: Elaine Van Der Kroon (Sister-in law) on: May 11, 2017
