Mabel was predeceased by her husband Clarence; children Barb (Smith) and Doug; brothers Cliff, Dick and Ken; sisters Lil and Mary; brothers-in law Bert Lower, George Lower and Paul Ganton; sisters-in-law Jean McLeod and Gloria McLeod. Mom will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her children Bryan (Dorothy) and Darrel (Rhonda); daughter-in-law Connie; grandchildren Jason (Leanne), Hayley, Shaun (Danielle), Andrew, Derek (Vanessa), Devon (Matt), Layne, Lindsey and Brittany; sister Lauraine (Ganton) along with six great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Mom was born in Nut Mountain, Saskatchewan on March 29, 1930 and she lived there until her family moved to Clarkleigh in 1946. There she met her sweetheart Clarence and they were married in September 1951. They eventually settled in Clarkleigh to raise their family. Mom had a deep abiding faith in the Lord and her faith was an integral part of her life. She was a devoted member of the Clarkleigh United Church, as well as the Christian Women's Club. She was a very giving person and loved to help others in any way possible. Mom was an active member of the Clarkleigh Friendship Club for over fifty years. Mom enjoyed the company of friends, neighbors and family. The coffee pot was always on and whenever friends dropped in everything else stopped. She truly loved to chat and make friends everywhere she went, including the express line at Safeway.
