Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELVIN DOUGLAS WEISS March 10, 1945 - May 10, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Melvin (Mel), on May 10, 2016 at the Strathmore Hospital. Remaining to forever remember Melvin's blessings are his wife of 49 years, Patricia; and his daughters, Tricia (Craig) Delaney and Nicole Weiss. He was predeceased by his parents, Berthold and Emma; paternal grandparents, Pastor Gottlieb and Ida; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Sophie Lee. Melvin will be missed by his many friends and family members. He was a loving husband and devoted father who cherished his family. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and caring nurses at the Strathmore Hospital Acute Care. A celebration of Melvin's life will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 - 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
