Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA NAGY (nee NEMETH) March 26, 1933 - May 12, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Nagy, wife of Andras (59 years), mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Thursday, May 12, 2016. She leaves behind her husband Andras, daughter Maria Bergen (Tim), son Andrew Nagy (Erin), six grandchildren, Liane Bergen, Olivia Wall (Dean), Vanessa Goncz (Joe), Erika Bergen, Daryl and Brendan Nagy, and two great-grandchildren Christianna and Ryan Wall. Maria was the youngest of 14 children and was predeceased by her parents, Veronika and Marok Nemeth, and siblings. Maria was born in Kapuvar, Hungary. She left Hungary with her brother Antonio and niece Gizella in 1956, during the Hungarian Revolution. She met Andras in Austria, where they wed and came to Canada. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 255 Oak Street, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Maria Szabo Berces.

She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Andras; daughter Maria Bergen (Bergen); son Andrew Nagy (Erin); six grandchildren, Liane Bergen, Olivia Wall (Dean), Vanessa Goncz (Joe), Erika Begen, Daryl Nagy and Brendan Nagy; and two great-grandchildren, Christianna Wall and Ryan Wall. Maria was the youngest of 14 children and predeceased by all of her siblings and her parents. Maria was born in Kapuvar, Hungary. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, yet to be announced.

I only met her one time when I was very small in Hungary. My grandmother Veronika Németh (Kurcsics) was visiting her in Canada and was all time speaking about Mariska. She was missing her very much. My granni passed away in March 2015 on Joseph day! After she lost her son Jòska. I really hope I can have some contact to the rest of the family there.
