GORDON MOORE It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gordon Moore at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 85 years of age. Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife of over 55 years, Ruth Moore, who recently passed February 8, 2015. After a 39 year long successful career with the C.N.R., building and repairing bridges and structures from Ontario to British Columbia, Gordon moved from Winnipeg to Gimli, Manitoba, where he and Ruth enjoyed their retirement years together. When time permitted, Gordon loved to go fishing with his wife and sons Bruce Moore and David (Tari) Moore and their sons, Matthew and Michael. He will be greatly missed. In addition to the aforementioned, Gordon is survived by family and friends near and far including three sisters, Margaret Mirus (John), Naomi MacKinnon (Duncan), and Lynda Ruggles (Dennis). Cremation has taken place. The Prayer Service for Gordon will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, phone (204) 774-7483. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
