Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WIENS June 24, 1920 - May 17, 2016 Peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Victoria Hospital, John passed away with his family at his side. John is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Friesen); daughter Sandra (Frank) and two grandchildren, Cory and Kelly Cruse. John was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and six sisters. John was born on June 24, 1920 in Schoenan Village, Manitoba. John worked at Commonwealth Construction and Riverside Gravel for 38 years, retiring in 1985. The family would like to thank the medical staff on the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with reception to follow. A private interment will follow at a later date.
