STEVEN CHAMBERS It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve Chambers on June, 07, 2016. Dad leaves behind a loving family including his wife of 65 years Ruth, his two children, Ron (Debbie), Carolyn (Frank); grandchildren, Neil, Alison, Brent (Yolanda), Cameron (Elissa); and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Anna and Ruth. Steve was born in Arborg, MB on September 24, 1920. He started from a humble background of farming, he owned and operated a farm implement dealership, became a tool and die maker and retired as a successful contractor in Winnipeg. In his own words, "In 1950 I was introduced to a lovely nice girl, Ruth Peterson." He was a keen duplicate bridge player and loved a good game of cards. He loved to work on building and renovation projects, in the summer he was an avid gardener and golfer, but most of all he loved being with his wife, family and close friends. Steve will be remembered as a person with integrity, honour and respect for others. He set a fine example by leading. Pop, we are going to miss you dearly. As per Steve's wishes there will be no formal service.
