• We will forever remember meeting Dr Kaufman at his daughter Ceci's dock, on a lovely summer Sunday in Lake of the Woods. Ceci kindly suggested that we talk to her father, about a lump on our young daughter's leg, that had appeared out of the blue. Dr Kaufman, kindly and with such reassurance, suggested seeing a specialist, and facilitated a quick appointment. We remember the encounter with gratitude and can appreciate how many lives Dr Kaufman touched and how many parents he put at ease. • I have been a long time friend of Ceci and her family. I met her father a few times and was very pleased to have met such a kind and brilliant man. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the family and all who had the honour of knowing him as well as being a part of his life. • I am heartbroken to read of Ruebin's death. He was a very special person in my life and I looked forward to seeing him every year in Mexico. He was a wonderful physician and healer, one of the most humble men I have ever met and I greatly admired his strength and determination through the adversity of the past few years. To Klara and family... I wish you healing, peace and comfort through this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He will be missed.
