VICKI LYNNE DUCHARME Peacefully, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving Wife, Mother, Gramma, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Dear Friend, Vicki Ducharme on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, with her family by her side, in Stonewall, MB. Vicki resided in Carnduff, Saskatchewan with her soulmate of 44 years, Norman. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; her protective sons, Dennis (Jackie) and Curtis (Stacy); daughter and best friend Amy (Bill). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Brittany, Owen, Grace, Faith, Dawson and Sasha; beloved brother Rick (Lorna) Clare, sister Kim (Cam) Moffat whom she forever loved and had an unbreakable bond with; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Deny and Phyllis Clare; in-laws, Harvey and Bernice Ducharme; brother-in-law Gerry Ducharme; sister-in-law Amelia Goodwin and cherished grandson, whom she was extremely proud of and honoured to be his Gramma, Braxton Ducharme. Mom and Dad resided in Stonewall, MB for many years where they raised their children and she worked as a hairdresser. Mom was much more than just a Mom to us, she was known as Mom D. to all her children's friends. She enjoyed her summers at Lynch's Point Campground, making memories with friends and family. Mom loved nothing more than to have all her family for dinner; her cooking was the best. On Wednesday, June 15, 2016, Vicki's Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Woodlands Legion, 120 Argyle Street, Woodlands, MB with Rev. James Bardsley officiating. Luncheon immediately to follow. Interment will be held in Woodlands (St. George) Cemetery. Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • To the Ducharme Family, So sorry to hear of the loss of Vicky. I got to know her when she volunteered with me in Band Boosters when Curtis and Jason were in band together. A lot of laughs were shared by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad and difficult time. Sincerely, Donna and Dean Couvier - Posted by: Dean and Donna Couvier (Friend) on: Jun 20, 2016

  • Condolences to you Norm, Dennis, Curtis and Amy. Vicki was truly a wonderful person and a great hairdresser. I remember the times when she would come over to the house to do my hair and we'd always have a good conversation and a few laughs. She would always mention her family and how special you all were to her. She loved you all so much, worried about you and wanted nothing more than your happiness. She was so proud of all you kids. Vicki was always kind and loving to Trevor when he spent so much time at your place. He enjoyed more than a few well cooked meals there too. Trevor now has schizophrenia but is doing well and will be sad to know Vicki has passed when I next see him. I was upset to hear of Vicki's passing and could immediately see her laughing face flash before my eyes. I know she is happy in her new home and know that I will again see her some day. A big hug to you all. Take good care of yourselves. - Posted by: Janice Crerar (friend) on: Jun 15, 2016

  • Our family had the pleasure of entwining and creating memories with Vicky and her family while at Lynchs Point. Vicky was incredibly welcoming when we came to Lynchs 10 years ago. She was very good to our son Micheal when he was learning the ropes of the Campground! We never worried about him when Vicky was out for the summer. She always called Lynchs her second home. And Micheal grew very fond of "Miss Vicky". We had our inside jokes and memories with Vicky and I am sure there will be a lot of reminiscing around the campfires while having a drink to Vicky! She was really one of a kind! But I always teased her she was a lot like Grandma (her mom). We will truly miss not seeing her, but we still have the pleasure of making memories with the rest of her family at Lynchs. Our hearts are broken for awhile, but we have to remember how she touched all of our lives and that her family shared her with all of us. To all of Vicky's please know we feel your pain, especially these last 2 months; you have endured so much. Lots of love coming your way!
