PATRICIA JEAN EASTON On June 1, 2016, without pain or fear, Pat Easton passed away unexpectedly at home. She was comfortably watching a movie with her longtime partner John and beloved Westies, Katie and Joey, knowing she was loved. She was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Edith, sister Andrea and brother Stuart. She is survived by partner John McGregor; aunts, Joan Koeppel, of Winnipeg and Vera Turner, of Killarney, MB, as well as many cousins. Pat worked many years at HBC Headquarters Hudson's Bay House in Winnipeg, which became the NWC Gibraltar House, later at Motor Coach Industries. Her warm, sparkling, witty personality and caring concern for the well-being of others, whether on two legs or four, with or without wings, will be sadly missed. Respecting her wishes, after cremation no service will occur. Donations in her memory may be made to any of: Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB, Siloam Mission, the Winnipeg Humane Society or any No Kill Pet Shelter. The quality of mercy is not strain'd, It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest; It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Pat, Andrea, Stuart and my 2 brothers and myself grew up together on Manitoba Avenue in Winnipeg. Pat and I shared a love for music as I played in the Sisler High School Band. We use to have many good talks together. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered as her siblings before her and her mom and dad. One day we will hopefully all meet again. - Posted by: Robert Davidson (Old neighbor and friend) on: Oct 21, 2019

  • I was so sad to hear of Pat's passing. Pat demeanor and humor at HBC & TNWC brought many laughs over the years. Her retirement party/backyard B-B-Que from TNWC still gives us fond memories. - Posted by: Dale Brydges (Friend & Coworker) on: Jun 18, 2016
