Date of Passing: May 29, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCODY JAMES GALBRAITH It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the tragic and untimely passing of our beloved son Cody. He was taken from us way too soon on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at the tender young age of 25 years. Left behind are Cody's beloved mother Michelle; his father Ryan; and his special love for his sisters, Jaeda and Jorja. He also leaves behind his loving and caring grandma Grace, and grandma Brenda and grandpa Graham. Also left to mourn are uncle Calvin (Tammy with daughter Ainsley) from Elma, Manitoba; uncle John (Diana with daughter Karli) from Winnipeg; uncle Carey (Kelly with son Connor) from Calgary; uncle Kyle (Jen with sons Luxton and Henley) from Winnipeg; as well as numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. They all cherished Cody as one of their own. He was predeceased by his uncle Glenn Madden in 2013; grandpa Calvin, and great-grandparents, Mitch and Mae Zooke. Cody loved them all. Cody had a special place in his heart for his sisters Jaeda and Jorja. He would do anything possible to make them smile and laugh. Whatever it was, just a trip to 7-11 for slurpees and a big bag of candy or just hanging out and watching movies and eating McCain's chocolate cake. He loved you so much girls. Keep him close to your hearts and his smile going on in you. Cody lived life to the ultimate fullest. His love for sports was evident with playing both hockey and baseball for almost 10 years. He spent the bulk of his life living in Headingley, Manitoba with his family. Hitting High School was a day Cody could hardly wait for. He attended Westwood Collegiate for two years, but ventured on and graduated from Ross L. Gray in Sprague, Manitoba. He met so many friends, but ones that stuck by his side through thick and thin was his best buddies, bros and soulmates, Matthew and Jordan Allarie. A bond that will last forever. Cody loved spending time out at the family cabin in Buffalo Point, Manitoba where he worked and met a whole new group of friends. A celebration of Cody's life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive, Winnipeg, with Rev. Don McIntyre, presider. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels Crematorium, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com We will all miss you Cody. Keep smiling!!! Love forever, Mom, Dad, Jaeda, and Jorja.

The morning of May 29th when I got the phone call at 5:30 a.m. here in Airdrie Alberta, that you had passed away Cody! I truly thought it was a bad dream!! I am so very sad that I will never see your handsome face again, only in pictures. I am still in shock and disbelief!! You were always so sweet and kind and fun. I always said you looked better than any movie star I have seen! Would always tell young girls at work how cute and sweet ya were. Going to miss you, more than you will ever know. Rest in peace in knowing how much we loved you. My heart aches. Warm hugs Cody. Love Aunty Carol and Uncle Bert - Posted by: Carol and Bert Simpkin () on: Jun 21, 2016

Since I was 11 years old, I thought Cody was the most dreamy guy ever! When his sister was born, my mum lent her the pink fur coat I had worn as an infant, which of course meant to me, as an 11 year old girl, that I would one day become Mrs. Cody Galbraith, ha ha. My heart literally aches when I think of his sisters, Michelle and Ryan, and the sorrow that will be with them forever. I sincerely hope they find solace in knowing how much Cody meant to not just them, but to everyone he met. He truly was a wonderful person, and will be missed greatly. This is not goodbye, Cody, it's see you later, as I know your spirit remains with your loved ones. I'm happy my cousin is taking care of the funeral arrangements as he and Louise are very good at what they do, and your family will be dealt with with great compassion. Much love, Markie Rae - Posted by: Markie (School mate) on: Jun 12, 2016
