DANIEL JOHN JAMES MACKAY After a courageous battle with cancer, on June 10, 2016, Daniel was received into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by his family. He was born in Winnipeg, March 14, 1948, predeceased by his father James, mother Caroline, and brother Henry. He served 25 years at Canada Post and had a graphic design company post retirement. He shared a passion for fishing with his brothers and dad, took fly fishing trips with friends, and became an avid golfer. Besides his aquarium, his dogs were his constant companions and enjoyment in life. He will be sadly missed by Jane, his children Andrea, James and Nikki, brothers Roderick, David, and Brian (Judy), sister Adele (Jorge), his beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Gingerich, Dr. Rush, Cheryl, and the staff at CancerCare and St. Boniface Hospital for their loving care. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
