Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERVIN GEORGE MILLWARD Merv won't be coming for coffee this morning. After a three hour stay at Riverview, with his wife and daughter Kristin at his side, Merv lost his battle with lung disease on June 14, 2016. Throughout his illness Merv was able to stay at home with the support of his wife and much appreciated visits from family and friends. His lifelong friend Lorne Dion kept up their ritual of morning coffee and was able to share one last visit with Merv on the day he passed. Merv was born in Winnipeg, on April 17, 1937. He grew up in the West End, spending summers at Eaglesham with his cousins. He was a Certified General Accountant and worked with Revenue Canada for over 25 years, before retiring in 1998. He loved to curl, he loved to golf, and he loved to build things, including his cottage at Lee River. Merv was a dedicated family man. He loved us and we loved him. He will be sadly missed by his wife Diana Gaille, children, Kristin (Andrew Smith), Erik (Heather) and Lindsay (Darwin Perrier), and his pride and joy grandchildren, Oliver, Sarah, Charlotte and Alice. Papa, we will miss you. Also mourning his loss is his sister Joan Miller, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carole and Lorne Dion, sister-in-law Janice Lambden (Henry), nieces and nephews, Ken, Barb, Keith, Sandy, Evan, Michele and families. Special thanks to Dan from RANA, the WRHA Palliative Care program and Riverview 3East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Merv's name to the Canadian Red Cross. Merv's friends and family have been invited to celebrate his life this Sunday. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Condolences, thoughts and prayers be with you. Mervin was a friend of my Uncle (John Donald Aird b. 1936). He was kind enough to post that they were good and loyal friends - here's hoping two friends from the west end are playing football together and hanging out right now.... - Posted by: Douglas Aird (Friend) on: Jul 08, 2016

Mr. Millward was my best friends dad and I always loved him. He was such a funny guy and very easy to look up to. I will always remember summers spent with the Millward's at Lee River. I know that he will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Tamar Hunt (Friend of the family) on: Jun 17, 2016
