Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES VICTORIA KASPRICK (nee LAVICH) We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Agnes Kasprick (nee Lavich), at the age of 91, on June 15, 2016 at Concordia Hospital. She was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on April 23, 1925. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Anthony Lavich, her beloved husband Paul in 2000 after 53 years of marriage, and her four siblings Stella Makulski, Joe Lavich, Frank Lavich, Nellie Kucharski and her dear friend Sally Smith. Agnes leaves to cherish her memory, her five children, 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Diane (Herb), children Kurtis (Corey), Krystin (Kurt and their children Kevin and Jill) and Eric; Loraine (John) and sons Jason (Melissa) and Cory (lsabelle); Pat (Wolfe) and sons Mike (Kristen and their sons Xavier and Quintin) and Jay (Chelsea); Peter (Sandy) and sons Perry, Kyle and (daughter Destiney), Ryan and Brad (Jaimie and daughter Emree); and Bonnie (Richard) and daughters Liza (Ted and their children Jaden and Zoe) and Meghan (Luke and their baby on the way). She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mom was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and during her final days was surrounded by their love and care. Agnes had a wonderful life with her husband Paul and family. Their home was a place where friends, family and relatives were always welcome. The grandchildren all spent a great deal of time with their grandparents. We will cherish the many happy memories we had in their home for 63 years. She enjoyed the family card games, Bingo outings and little gambling trips now and then. And who can forget our Mom's laugh, it resonated with joy. Her laugh was definitely passed down to her daughters. Mom, the memory of your wonderful laugh will always bring a smile. Agnes was an avid gardener, and would spend many hours nurturing her various vegetable and flower gardens, and she graciously shared her bounty with family, friends and neighbours. Mom was also a talented baker and fabulous cook; her perogies, punchky and cabbage rolls were always a hit when family and friends visited, and she could hardly wait for the next family gathering. She not only taught her daughters to make perogies but also gave perogy lessons to some of her grandchildren. Agnes was a devout Catholic and member of St. Peter's Church until she moved and then was a member of St. Joseph's. She was a very active member of the CWL, and was honoured with a 61 year service pin which she was very proud of. She was also the last surviving original CWL President from St. Peter's. She still played cards every Tuesday with her Canasta ladies at St. Peter's and almost every Saturday evening with a lovely group of ladies, including long-time friend Bernice Peternaik Special thank you to Brenda Hayes for all the special kindnesses she showed our mother over the years, especially being her chauffeur and taking her to church after her own car finally died and she stopped driving. Mom was tired and at peace with leaving us, confident of going to a better place. Mom's life was her family and shared her enthusiasm for God through love, prayer and laughter. The family would like to thank the staff of N1 at the Concordia Hospital for the care they extended to our mother. A special thank you goes out to her hospital room mate Jane for her friendship during her hospital stay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. with interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Agnes's grandchildren will be her pallbearers. 204-586-8044

A truly wonderful tribute to the life of a warm and loving lady who built a big beautiful family. I remember the first time I met Agnes, and many others of the Kaspirick family was at the family Christmas dinner. I was a little nervous about going to such a large family dinner where I only knew Loraine and John. Agnes immediately invited me to sit and play crokinole, and I instantly felt more at ease. Agnes and the whole family were so welcoming and kind, showing me how to the play the usual family games after dinner and getting me involved in all the festivities. I even got a package of the famous punchkies to take home! Agnes' strength, love, and light will carry on in this world through all of you. I am thankful to have been able to meet Agnes and her family and I am sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Jonathan Waldie () on: Jun 17, 2016

It was with incredible sadness that I heard your mom had passed away. Although I didn't know her directly, I felt like I knew her through your stories of the past and present. Also, having met you Loraine and your siblings, it was apparent to me what a wonderful woman she must have been by your closeness with each other and your cooperative ability to take turns looking after her when she needed you. You are all truly blessed to have known and been raised by such a wonderful woman...and now I know where you got your booming laugh from! Love to you, John and your family. - Posted by: Elizabeth Rogers (Friend of Loraine and John's) on: Jun 16, 2016

To the Kasprick family: This obituary was one of the most beautiful, from the heart tributes I have ever seen. There should be more people in this world like your Mom. She was a shining example and has lovingly passed on her true inner beauty. She always treated Mum (Sally) and I like her own family and we loved her dearly. I miss the "Dynamic Duo" so much! We sure did laugh a lot and have good times, I second that! Will always remember her like a second Mom. Love Sharron and Danny Lyzun - Posted by: Sharron Lyzun (Friend) on: Jun 16, 2016
