Born: Nov 21, 1961
Date of Passing: Jun 15, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKIMBERLEY RAE WOODS Our family is profoundly sad to announce the sudden and very unexpected passing of our mom and wife Kimberley Rae Woods (nee Johnson) peacefully at her home in Winnipeg on June 15, 2016. Kim was 54 years old and taken from her family way too soon. Kim will always be loved and remembered by her three children, Jesse (Jeré), Carly (Jason) and Jamie (Alina); her loving husband Mark; brothers and sister, Brian (Shyrl), Greg (Betty) and Karen (Murray); sisters-in-law, Cindy (Kelly) and Donna (Wayne); brother in-law David; father-in-law Frank as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other family who all held a special place in her heart. Kim is predeceased by her father Morgan Johnson in 2003; her mother Eleanor Johnson in 2010 and her mother in-law Marie Woods in 2011. Mom was born in Kenora, Ontario on November 21, 1961, making her way to Winnipeg several years later, where she met our dad in 1978. They were married on June 26, 1981. They would have celebrated 34 happy years together this month. Mom and Dad bought their house in Winnipeg in 1983 and raised their three beautiful kids in the same house. Kim and Mark welcomed their first born Jesse in 1987 and two years later were blessed with twins, Carly and Jamie in 1989. Mom was very special to us in so many ways. She was the most thoughtful, caring, smart and funny person. She was always the voice of reason in our household. She loved to keep herself busy, reading was a big part of her daily routine. She was very dedicated to her employment at Metal-Pac where she had worked for the last 18 years and was very highly regarded by her colleagues. She also very much enjoyed her regular theatre outings with her girl friends. She was so full of life. One of her favourite summer activities was getting to the beach at any chance she could. Our family spent many summers in Winnipeg Beach and Gimli and that's always where she was the happiest. She was also an amazing hostess and loved having her kids over for the holidays where she could spend an entire day in the kitchen preparing a huge meal for all of us. She has touched and impacted so many people in her life and will be missed dearly. Kim will be cremated, at her request and a celebration of life will take place at Wheeler Funeral Home, on Friday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. located at 1800 Day Street in Transcona, 204-224-1525. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

My deepest sympathies to Mark, Jesse, Jamie, and Carly. Kim will be deeply missed. I remember all the summer day trips she would take my brother and I on. The beach was the most common. I remember the spontaneous visits on your back deck as she and your dad would be out there drinking coffee. I wish you Gods Blessings and pray for you during your time of mourning.
