Fred - it is difficult to fathom that you are no longer here with us. Thank you for being such a dedicated, headstrong and kind person - I will always remember you with great respect. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this sad time. - Posted by: Shawna H (Friend) on: Jun 28, 2016

I worked with Fred at Beatrice ( now Parmalat). What a great guy! He had a great attitude towards work! Whenever he had to report a problem, his first words were "Now don't get mad at me!" He wanted everyone to have a win-win situation. His advice in stocks was not always a winner. Sincere condolences to Fred's family. We have known Fred for years through our mutual interest in tennis and membership at Kildonan Tennis Club. He was jovial and always wanted to offer advice followed by a hardy laugh and wry smile. Amazingly he played the game he loved at age 79. Most of us can only hope to do likewise. His passing was a shock but we are heartened that he was playing the game he enjoyed with friends around him right up to the end. There will be a definite void felt when we next visit the club. Fred joins the fine company of Jack S, Gerry P and Alec with whom he shares tennis longevity and the social aspect which comes with the love of the game. Heartfelt condolences to Fred's family. - Posted by: Steve and Debbie (Tennis friends) on: Jun 25, 2016

Fred was my first boss at my first company-Crescent Creamery. He was a great guy and I looked up to him. He gave me advice and was always friendly. He even tried to get me to buy VW and Bayer stocks, great companies from Germany. Fred drove a lime green Chrysler two door. Won't forget that car. Good life Fred.... - Posted by: Eric Jensen (former employee) on: Jun 24, 2016
