Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS IRENE COWBURN (nee BROWN) August 9, 1922 June 21, 2016 Phyl passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital at the age of 93. She leaves to mourn her two children, Lynn (Dale) Simpson of Roblin, MB and Bruce Cowburn of Burnaby, BC; grandchildren, Trisha (Dean) Molberg, Joanne (Rob) Barrett, Karleen (Joel) Gregoire; great-grandchildren, Marty, Rhett, Sloane Molberg, Eddy, Charlotte, Silas Barrett and Danika Gregoire; brother Lee (Claire) Brown and sister in-law Mary Brown. She was predeceased by her husband Frank (1995); parents, Melville and Ada Brown; brothers, Everett (Eileen), Walt and Lyle and sister Verna (John) Milani; brothers-in-law, Herb (Doris) and Kenneth Cowburn. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield Street. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Westhaven for making her last two years so comfortable and serene. Thank you to the WRHA Home Care staff for making her last month safe and secure. Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of 3 South, Grace Hospital for their compassion and care of Phyl in her last days. As Alene Anderson's daughter, I know how special the friendship between Phyl and Mom was. Phyl was a delight to know - a really wonderful lady! I last saw her when I took her to see Mom at the Grace Hospital last December. They had such a good visit, but it was so sad to see them have to say goodbye to each other.
