ROSANNE MARY (FRIESEN) THIESSEN March 28, 1929 - June 22, 2016 Rosanne Thiessen, of Meadowood Manor, passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg on June 22 after a brief stay. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1997, and son Kerry in 2013 as well as two brothers, Herb and Gordon, all of her stepsiblings, her parents, her parents-in-law and all her husband's family. She is survived by two daughters Sharon (Tony) of Winnipeg and Barbara of Toronto, two grandsons, Paul and Eric Reder, one great-grandson North Reder, one sister, Isadora Wolfe, and a large extended family. Rosanne was a woman of strong faith and family values. She and John raised their children, and established and operated Regent Park Shell until his retirement. They were avid golfers at the Transcona Golf Club in summer and in San Antonio in the winter. Following his retirement, they enjoyed traveling extensively. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Meadowood Manor, 575 St. Anne's Road on Monday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. (Extra parking across St. Anne's Road on Arena grounds). A private family interment at Transcona Cemetery will follow. The family thanks the Community Palliative Care Team for their compassion and care. Many thanks to her doctors for their care and the 5-South staff at the Victoria Hospital for making her comfortable. A special thank you to niece Marjorey. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make donations to the Gospel Mission, Salvation Army, CancerCare, or a charity of their choosing.
