Mrs. Garvie was the heart of Doran Bay. She did everything for everyone. You didn’t even have to ask – she just did it and wanted nothing in return. She always had a smile and she always had fun! She truly was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. My thoughts are with you Gord, Doug and the rest of her family. We lost a dear friend, but heaven has gained an angel. - Posted by: Laura Lough (Friend of the family) on: Jun 27, 2016

I am sorry to hear of Jane's passing. She was a lovely woman always so sweet and kind. I first met her when she began with the bombers in 1986 and I was 11 years old. My dad is Cal Murphy and Jane was always great with keeping my dad on his toes and so very kind to me. She had a hug when I came into the office and was especially supportive when he had his transplant. A bit of a silly analogy but once you met Jane she is like indelible ink - you can't ever remove or forget her. She was kind, witty, had a great laugh and I am honored to have known her. I pray for your family and that she rest in peace. Kindest regards, Kelly Murphy - Posted by: Kelly Murphy (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2016

Gord and Doug, So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She truly was a very special lady. She touched so many people in her lifetime. I have so many great memories of her watching all of us playing hockey or football in the streets. How about all those crazy card games at my parents house. I still have images of all those hats. My memories of her are all so special. Gord, it sure was nice to see you last year. It sure has been a long time. Take care of yourself Your friend of 44 years and counting Ross Lemon - Posted by: Ross & Mary Lemon (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2016

As a cousin living some distance away, I didn't see Jane often, but each time we were together in a family setting, she was outgoing, charming and always a pleasure to be with. Shelley and I remember especially, the time the "cousins" were together up at Sandy Hook, with Uncle Ab and Auntie Audrey. And of course, her wonderful Scottish accent that simply added to her warmth. Shelley and I send our most sincere condolences to Jane's family. - Posted by: Stuart MacPherson and Shelley Rosen (Cousin) on: Jun 25, 2016
