LOUISE CLARA DELEAU (nee SWANSON) With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Deleau after a long and courageous battle with COPD, on Saturday, June 25, 2016, with family at her side, at Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage la Prairie, MB, at the age of 80 years. Louise was predeceased by her parents Seymour Swanson (1977) and Effie Swanson (nee Nixon) (1978). Left to treasure her memory is her loving husband of 64 years Aime Wilfred Deleau of Portage la Prairie; daughter Joyce Deleau (Vince) and son Richard Deleau (Natalie); grandchildren, Lise Painchaud (Stefan) of Winnipeg and David Mulaire (Carmel) of Portage la Prairie; great-grandchildren, Eric, Aubrey and Avery Painchaud and Fiona and Kelson Mulaire along with her very special aunt, Elva McDonald of Cartwright, MB. There will be a celebration of her life on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Road South in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Interment will take place at the Columbarium at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise's memory to the Douglas Campbell Lodge Foundation, c/o Portage District General Hospital, 150-9th St. SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3T6.
