JOHN GRABOWECKY June 11, 1931 - Winnipeg, Manitoba June 28, 2016 - Calgary, Alberta John Grabowecky of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on June 28, 2016 at the age of 85 years. John was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on June 11, 1931, son of Stanley and Francisca Grabowecky. John is survived by his daughter, Marcia (Ken Paller) of Evanston, Illinois; and son Chris (Cindy) of Calgary; his grandchildren, Devin MacDonald, Cheryl Rasmuson (Oliver), Jackson Paller, and Michael Grabowecky; and his brother Stan Grabowecky (Bev) of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn; his brother Alex Garbo (Mary) of Freemont, CA; and his sister Jen and brother-in-law Ed Omelan. A Celebration of John's life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N.) on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m with a reception to follow.
