Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL HOPMAN Peacefully on June 28, 2016 our mother Mrs. Mabel Hopman, (nee Topham) aged 96 years, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away at the Simkin Centre in Winnipeg MB. Mabel was born in Winnipeg the 9th of August 1919, to Edith and George Topham. Mom was predeceased by her husband Dirk, her daughter Trudy Fisher and her son Donald (Barbara) and siblings. Mabel is survived by her loving children, George (Carol), John (Judy), Dorothy (Harvey) Fishbook and Carol (Neil) Watts. Her grandchildren, Susan (Tony) Hamilton, Richard (Penny), Beaudry (Shauna), Bryan (Coralie) Deanna (Terry) Popadynetz, Barry (Melissa) Wendy Weins (Steve), Dayna (Ryan) Carton, Rob (Mary), Meagan and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, too numerous to mention. Mom held various employment positions throughout her life, the most cherished position Mother . She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great, great-grandmother. She loved her little home in Transcona, friends and neighbours were cherished. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will always be lovingly missed. Family would like to extend gratitude and thanks to the staff, nurses and aids at the Simkin Centre for providing her care in the last few years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg. Funeral Service will take place at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, on Tuesday July 5 at 11:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
