ANNE MURDOCH (nee SKAWRITKA) It is with great sadness we announce our mom, Baba and friend to many, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, with family at her side, at the age of 72 years. Left to cherish Anne's memory are her three children, Leslie (Carey), Kim (Brian) and Steven (Paula); eight grandchildren, Chase, Nic, Carter, Jordan, Brooke, Hayley, Madison and Crosby; brothers Ron (Betty Ann) and Orest (Darlene); sister-in-law Helen; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Don, and her parents Steve and Stella. Mom loved spending time at the family cabin and being surrounded by family and friends. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I have known Anne my whole life. As neighbors on Fidler, our families grew up together. Anne was like a second mom to me during my childhood years and even into adulthood we would still stay in touch. Anne made my mothers last years on Fidler the best of her life. They always looked out for each other and would have many drinks and dinners together..... I remember one time about 15 years ago.... it was 10:30 at night and I could not get ahold of my mother or Anne. I was worried, so I drove over to see if they were alright. The two of them were sitting outside having drinks. They both laughed at me for being worried and Anne said "Now you know how your mother and I would feel when you and Kimmie wouldn't come home when you were supposed to" She was right lol. The two had turned into giggling teenagers in their later years, but rightfully deserved after bringing us all up. My condolences to the entire family, especially Leslie, Kim and Steven.... I know you and your mom were very close. She will be sadly missed, leaving a big void in all our hearts. Love you Anne. - Posted by: Tish Kessen-Jonsson (neighbor) on: Jul 05, 2016

  • I will always remember Annie for her love of the family and her cooking.I swear a bus load of people could stop in front of her house and she could feed them all .I had the honour of being her friend of many years. We travelled, laughed and enjoyed family functions, as well as a few ,drinks. Her love of family is her legacy and greatest gift she left us all.Annie never complained about the pain during the last years. After treatments we often went to Dollarama to shop, we shared that love together.I will miss my Friend who was like a sister to me.Rest in Peace my special Angel!! You will be missed but you will always be in our hearts. - Posted by: Judy Bamburak (Friend) on: Jul 02, 2016
