CHARLOTTE LEONA MCINNIS Charlotte Leona McInnis, of Coaldale, AB, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016, at the age of 89 years. Charlotte is lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra Allen and granddaughter Michelle Lee Inkster, son Randy McInnis and granddaughter Jamie Elaine McInnis, adopted daughter Shirley Goertzen, her sister Lu Carter, many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as special friends, Leeann Johnson and Shawnee Big Bull; her very special families, Mike and Louise Evaschesen and their daughter, Jaclyn (Wayne) Warkentin, son Walker, daughter Donalee (Dave Sharratt and children, Emily and Ryder), as well as Darrel Horrock, Bobby Gleiche and his sister Barbara. Charlotte was predeceased by her loving husband Cameron in 1984 after 36 years of marriage, her parents, Graham and Dorothy "Dolly" Fulmore, brothers, Bill, James, Donald and Jack and sisters, Ellen, Margaret and Elda. Charlotte was born July 4, 1926, at Macoum, Saskatchewan. She moved to The Pas, Manitoba then to Winnipeg where she met and married Cameron Hugh McInnis in 1948. They lived in Winnipeg for 45 years, raising their two children, Sandra Lynn and Randall Russel. She spent her final 30 years in Coaldale, Alberta. Charlotte was a tireless volunteer for the Canadian Western Horse Association in Winnipeg for many years. She took great pride in seeing her horse "Dondi Pride" win many CWHA and AQHA awards. Jaclyn Evaschesen took over the reins and showed him when she was seven years old, continuing to win many awards. Dondi and Jaclyn won AQHA All Round Youth 18 and Under. She was nine years old at the time and couldn't have been more proud. Charlotte loved to sew; she made many costumes and show clothes. She also loved to cook and bake and was known for her Oreo cookies. When she moved to Coaldale she volunteered with the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association and worked many years with the Lethbridge Food Bank. She belonged to "Tops", where at the age of 85 she met her goal weight. The family wishes to acknowledge her nephew Lloyd (Noreen) McDougall-Price, for their incredible support and many kindnesses to Charlotte and our family over the last several years of her life. A Celebration of Charlotte's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Jaclyn Evaschesen officiating.
