WILLIAM FRASER
Born: Jan 18, 1934
Date of Passing: Jun 23, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (AL) FRASER Peacefully at the Grace Hospital on June 23, Dad took his last breath and began his next journey which has led him to the love of his life, Winnie. William (Al) Fraser born January 18, 1934 to Stuart and Alma Fraser. Raised and educated in Winnipeg, Dad joined RBC, Royal Bank in 1953 where he began a career that lasted over 39 years. It was here that Dad met Mom, Winnie Thomson (predeceased April 2005) and he immediately fell in love, as did she. They wed in May 1957 in Winnipeg, and shortly thereafter they began raising a family of four kids. Dad leaves behind a very loving and loyal family, David (Marilyn and Zoe), Heather Clancy (Jenna and Mike St. Laurent, Jordan, Kevin), Doug (Danielle, Derek and Jenna, Brett and Victoria, Olivia and Emma) and Glenn. Dad, or more affectionately known as Pops or Papa lived a full life. He curled and bowled but his favorite passion was baseball. Dad was a member of the Crestview fastball league where he held the rank of Coach for the Hillary Blues and his sidekick Winnie was the score keeper! The family home on Hillary Bay was host to many unforgettable events like pool parties, box meetings, and the annual Christmas Eve gathering. Dad had a love for the Yankees, and Mom for the Blue Jays they can now watch games together just like old times. Our family wishes to thank our extended family, dear friends and colleagues who have shown us tremendous support throughout these past weeks. Pop was a dearly loved Man. He is extremely missed. We have decided on a private family gathering this summer where we will take mom and dad to their final destination as they wished. Donations would be greatly appreciated to The Lung Association.
