LESLIE FREUDENBERG
Date of Passing: Jul 08, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE (LES) FREUDENBERG It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad and Grandpa on Friday, July 8, 2016. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Lisa and husband Keith; son Dave and wife Darcy; and his grandsons, James and Jon. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris. Les was born and raised in Ottawa. After graduating from Carleton University he began his life long career at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. An early retirement allowed Doris and Les to enjoy many years travelling to Texas to escape the Winnipeg winters. Our Dad loved to be outside and was happiest "friggin' in the yard" for the day. He shared his passions of skating, horseback riding and sailing with us and his love of cars seems to have surfaced in his grandsons. He was their friend as they stood amidst the scattered car parts in the garage talking about their latest project. In keeping with Les' wishes, no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice. "Rest Peacefully Dad. We love you."

Dear Lisa and David and All Other members of Les's family. It is with extreme sadness that I write this note to you. Les was a great friend to Ken and myself after we met at Clear Lake in 1987 while camping next door to Les and Doris. Over the next many years we had wonderful times camping, visiting, playing games and enjoying a few cool ones. Also have so many fond memories of times spent together in Texas. Both Les and Doris kept us in touch with what you, their family, were doing and as James and Jon grew up. They loved you all dearly. Stay strong as you mourn and hang tight to your memories. Sincerely, Edith - Posted by: Edith Stephenson (Friend) on: Jul 16, 2016
