JOSEPH MAURICE MORRISSETTE Peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 Maurice Joseph Morrissette passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 86. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley; and sadly missed by his children, Cory, Arlene, DiDi, and David; grandson Robin; siblings, Marie (Stan), Annette (Eddie), and Leon (Rose); Shirley's family Gloria, Ken, Douglas (Heather), Kevin (Lynn and daughter Allison), Kelly (son Maddison), Jackie (Tom), Maria (Chris and son Jacob); and dear friends, Violet, Kim, Vernie, Wanda "Thing of Beauty", Andre, Armond, and Ernie. He was predeceased by his first wife Lorraine; his parents Lea and Leon; and siblings Emile and Elie. Living in Charleswood for most of his life Maurice worked as a painter and drywaller. He loved working with wood, finishing furniture big and small. Maurice loved his cat Suzie, and took pleasure in feeding the squirrels and birds in the neighbourhood. He was especially pleased to have been able to hold his great- grandson Jacob. Maurice was quite the joker and loved to tease. He will be missed by all that knew him.
