CORPORAL O. N. BALDWINSON C. D. (NEIL BALDWINSON) 1936 - 2016 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Neil. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years, Merilyn. Three sons, Lorne, Dennis (Michelle) and Darrell, four daughters, Colleen, Leslee, Glenda (Marlin) and Tracey. Grandchildren, Jesse (Jason), Alex, Clinton (Amanda), Cheyenne (Armin), Curtis (Tanya), Kyla (Chris), Jordan, Chase and Brayden. Great-grandchildren, Emma Lynne and Isaac, Keyen, Ava, Khaysen, Emmalee, Alaska and Dirk. Neil was predeceased by his daughter Correen, his parents, Herbert and Valdheidur Baldwinson, three brothers and their wives, Baldi (Isabel), Norman (Joan), and Rodney (Gaylene). Three sisters and their husbands, Maria (Villi) Sigurgeirson, Alice (Bill) Snorrason, Colly and Grimsi Brynjolfson, also his in-laws, Grimsi and Dolly Grimolfson, two brothers-in-law, Dennis Grimolfson and Olafur Thorsteinson and his nephew Darren Grimolfson and David Mashowski. He was a wonderful husband and father. His favourite times were when we had all the family together. He served in the RCAF from June, 1955 to June, 1977. During that time he met Mom, the love of his life, and they would have been married for 41 years on July 19, 2016. They loved to travel and made many trips to BC and Las Vegas. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Riverton Community Hall, 175 Reggie Leach Way, Riverton, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gimli District Health Auxiliary, Box 1398, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0 or a charity of one's choice.
