MARKO KAMPIC Peacefully, on July 14, 2016, Marko Kampic, beloved husband of Anica (Buncic) and beloved father of Ivan (Dyana) and Lucija Kampic, passed away. Marko will also be sadly missed by his loving grandchildren, Cameron White, Russell Kampic, Rachel Mamott, James Kampic, Mia Dech, Andrea Walpole; and his great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Chloe, Sura, Peyton, Maci, Kash and Hudson. Marko was born in Platicevo, Croatia, on October 10, 1930 and came to Canada in 1965 with his wife and children. He worked at Schneider's most of his life, enjoyed the lake and fishing at the Narrows. Service will be held on Monday, July 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., followed by interment at Glen Eden, 4477 Main St. Refreshments will be served at St. Nicholas Croatian Church, 2688 Main St., after the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marko's memory may be made to D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre, 730B Century St., Winnipeg, MB, R3H 0M1. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

So sorry to hear of Marko’s passing upon my return to my family home in Selkirk! I worked with Marko & Ivan at OK Packers back in the day and had many good times and laughs as they taught me swear words in Croatian to say to big Peter!
