She slipped away peacefully in her sleep on July 16, 2016 at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband James Mulholland in 1983 as well as stepchildren, Doreen and Gerald. Flora was born in Winnipeg on December 11, 1920 to James and Alice MacDonald. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Phyllis, nieces and nephews, Gerald, Barbara, Patricia, Robert, Linda and Donna and late husband James' grandchildren, Bruce, Maureen, Doug, Scott, Rick, Rose, Marny, Michael and Sheryl. Flora began her career at the Canadian Institute for the Blind. In 1946, she joined the Winnipeg Police Department. She was promoted to Chief Clerk in the Chief Constable's General Office in 1964. She loved working for the police department, and met her husband Jim Mulholland there. In 2011, Flora moved to The Westhaven retirement home. We would like to thank all the staff for the excellent care given for the past five and one half years. The Westhaven was Flora's home. I have fond memories of Flora visiting us in Calgary and taking her for a flight in a helicopter...She wasn't afraid to try things and I remember her smiling as we flew low over the farmland thoroughly enjoying the moment...Flora, I'll miss you!....Dan - Posted by: Dan Riopel (Wife's Aunt) on: Jul 23, 2016
