KAREN LYNN KISIL (nee HOLLO) In the early morning hours of July 20, 2016, at the age of 61, Karen passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband John; brother George Hollo (Evelyn); brother-in-law Steve Kisil (Lori); and their families. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and especially her four-legged companions, Tikitoo and Sandy. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Eva Hollo. Karen's first employment was with the Winnipeg Police Force, followed by the Royal Bank of Canada. She enjoyed bowling on several leagues where she made some lifelong friendships. In addition to being an avid reader, Karen enjoyed attending musical concerts, theatre, the symphony, movies and dining out. Her many refrigerator magnets were testament to her love of dogs and humorous aversion to cooking and housework. As her health deteriorated, she continued to host Saturday movie night, surrounding herself with family and her dearest friends. Karen faced her illness with courage, strength and determination. We would like to thank the staff of the WRHA Palliative Care Program for their compassion and support in making Karen's final wish to remain at home a reality. Thanks also to close friends Lesley LeGrand for time spent with Karen over the past four years and longtime friend Sylvia Rauch for her constant presence during Karen's final days and hours. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. There will be no service at Karen's request. She fought the good fight. We could not wish her back to suffer more. Rest in Peace "My Little Girl."
