I worked with Sam for 10 years at Pollard, and he was a wonderful fun loving guy and loved his bike. He was a life loving soul and I know he will be missed by his family. - Posted by: Marion Marko () on: Jul 30, 2016

I was saddened to see Sam's passing on the Free press internet page today. He and I started school together at Riverview in 1942, under the "Iron rule" of Miss Donner. Sam and I could always get in trouble with her and would be turned over her knee and smacked with her cribbage board. We never actually chummed together but we always were friends. About 10 years ago I met a women at a party in Ladysmith B.C. where we lived at the time we discovered that we were ex Riverview students and Miss Donner was our 1st grade teacher she could not remember what year but she did remember that "Sammie" Dacquisto was in her class, she did not remember me. Sam and I were the same age, both born in February 1936 We both worked in the printing industry in Winnipeg but unfortunately we never crossed paths over the past number of years. Mrs. Daquisto please accept and extend my sincerest condolences to Sam's family on the loss of a "good man" Sincerely George Glenday - Posted by: George Glenday (School mate neighbor-hood friend) on: Jul 30, 2016
