DENNIS GORDON LETKEMAN December 12, 1957 - July 7, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Letkeman on July 7, 2016 in Cornwall, Ontario. Dennis was born in Winnipeg to parents, Frank and Kay Letkeman. Left to forever cherish his memory are brothers, Donald (Penny) and David (Alice); daughter Valerie (Mike) Jolley; grandchildren, Yasmin and Joslynn; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Dennis spent the majority of his career in the aviation industry, primarily with Nav Canada in the Air Traffic Controller Training Simulation area. In 2010 he transferred to the Training Centre in Cornwall and later moved to the head office in Ottawa where he stayed until taking early retirement in December, 2015. Post retirement, he enjoyed spending Friday nights with friends in Cornwall listening to live bands in the Jet Set Pub. These special friends and co-workers became his second family. Dennis was a gifted musician. He loved hanging out amid guitars, keyboards, drums and amps. He played in a couple of bands over the years, but probably his favourite times were simply jamming in someone's basement. A celebration of Dennis' life was held in Cornwall, Ontario. A private family interment will take place at the Winkler Cemetery in Winkler, Manitoba where Dennis will be laid to rest alongside his parents. Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.

  • I was so saddened by his passing,I've dated him for awhile back then. I remember listening to him singing at his home in Winnipeg. He had given me a cassette tape of himself sing I still play every night. I was so glad that he found me on Facebook and he looked happy. I remember singing with him at his brothers and sister-in-law party one night wow I'm so sad because never got the chance to see him again or get a cd from him.
