Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND LECLERC April 27, 1924 - August 1, 2016 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Roland peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 70 years Irene Rivard; his children, Lillian Villeneuve (George), Marcel (Sandra), Rachel LeGras (Nick) and Gilles (Brenda); 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Roland was predeceased by three daughters, Celine Vande Graaf, Estelle Morissette, and Carole Batz; and his siblings, Lucille, Marielle, Leo and Willie. Roland was born in St. François Xavier, raised and farmed in Baie St. Paul. Roland was quite active throughout his life. Besides farming, he has also worked in construction, has been a school trustee, councillor, bus driver and coached the men's hockey league in St. Eustache. He loved camping with family and fishing with his buddies. In his retirement years Roland golfed, spent winters in Texas and Arizona and the farmer in him couldn't let him pass the opportunity to help out in his son's greenhouses during the summer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Church, 320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg, MB with interment to follow.
