Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMONTFORT (MONTY) YEO WOODMAN September 13, 1949 - July 4, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Montfort (Monty) Yeo Woodman. Monty lived in Winnipeg his entire life, preferring the predictability of a regular routine to the tribulations of travel. He had both technical and artistic skills graduating first with a degree in Environmental Studies and then with a Master's Degree in City Planning. Throughout his life he cherished his childhood memories by continuing hobbies such as model building and comic collecting but also delved into more refined subjects such as collecting artwork, rare books, music and horticulture. Monty was also a pet lover. Over the years he nurtured exotic birds, lizards and various aquatic creatures and never was far from his cats, at one time breeding the rare Himalayan Blue cats. Monty is survived by his brother, Frank Yeo and wife Patty Sudermann; sister Maggie Paskaruk and husband Larry Paskaruk; niece Martha Beach-Yeo; nephews, James Paskaruk, Michael Beach-Yeo and Oliver Beach-Yeo; aunt and uncle Barbara and Gary Germain and uncle Frank Metcalfe. A memorial service was held July 26, 2016 followed by an interment at Brookside Cemetery, where he will rest beside his predeceased brother Robert Grenville, and mother Marian Yeo.
